inside the projection booth
I chose the kaleidoscope for the name of my theater because of all the changes that will take place not only for the theater but always showing something diffrent in my theater.
Also to the right of this room is another large area to store vhs, dvd and 16mm films.

This looks great! A real booth. You don't see many of these
in home theaters. "The projection booth!"
Your portholes look a little small though. But I'm only seeing a picture.
If you look at my booth opening, I have one and it would up being pretty
wide.
Good luck. Stay motivated and get that theater up and running!

The port holes are 1 foot square I placed the the projectors while I was rough framing them out they hit the screen area with no problem. (this is only to project 35mm and 16mm slides and film) I have the Sp4805 which will be mounted in the celing in the "auditorium" (bummer) If I went with larger ports I didn't want them to be a distraction if I had a room light on in the booth. I have scanner glass
that will be built in to the port holes picked up a junk scanner for a couple of bucks removed the glass it is excellent optical glass not like glass you get at hd or lowes
perfect for this type of application.
From where the projector booth is to the screen area it is a 27 foot throw
from where my sp4805 will be mounted it is only about a 13 foot throw
which leaves me with 12 feet of space for my chairs and risers. (3 rows of 3)
Thanks for the comments more pix as the room(s) area develops.
Also a special Thanks to my brother - in - law David Hart (skilled carpentry) and to Mike Parent (electrical Genius) and to my Wife Margaret who puts up with my whims!
for helping me relize my vision.

Excellent. I did not consider that it would be for 35mm or 16mm.
Good luck with the project. And my wife had to put up with my
